I’ve lived in many places — Johannesburg, Canada, London, and Amsterdam. And I’m sure there’s at least one more Big Move left in me yet.
My life has been enriched by being open to people with backgrounds and experiences that differ from my own rather than sticking with people who think just like me. In my experience, no matter where I find myself geographically, when I connect with people that share a common sense of acceptance and kindness, I feel I have family everywhere I go.
Home is people. Not a place.
