Illustrated book cover and spot illustrations about cultivating a restorative green space

I live in the Netherlands where everyone's houses are incredibly warm and inviting ("gezellig" in Dutch), filled with lush greenery and freshly cut flowers. This book talks about the restorative effects and well-being benefits of gardening and spending time in nature, providing an oasis away from the stresses of modern life.
Challenge
Design an illustrated full colour book cover (front and back) and spot illustrations for the home and lifestyle book Gardening for Mind, Body and Soul using the supplied colour palette.

Outcome
The book focuses on the role nature can play in boosting our happiness. To highlight this, I wanted the characters to take more of a back seat, with the lush colours and textures of the plants and flowers in the spotlight.

Discover the ways gardening can boost physical well-being, and promote feelings of balance and calm.
